Planning and the co-ordination of urban and rural development strategies and projects were the basis of the original core consulting business when it was formed as TPS Town Planning Services in 1995. It grew quickly to have four planning consultants by 1998 and has since added specialists in property, economic development, marketing, public affairs, education, event organisation, town centre policy, evaluation, research, urban conservation and design.

We have worked on around 1000 projects since 1995 for over 100 clients. In many cases planning consultants have effectively became part of our larger clients’ in – house teams, often for periods of several years.

• objections to unsuitable planning applications and development plan proposals
